Would anyone be available for a shork (1k) PG Lockhart/Draco ficlet? And could someone tell me if Galleon and Knut are supposed to be capitalized or not?

Ugh. Sick.
Have head cold. Miserable, tired. Mucousy. Blech.
My throat was hoarse after I got home from Kansas City, but it was from me screaming my guts out at a drag show. Figured it would heal up within a day or two. But it didn't, it just got worse. I think all the stress I've been under the past few weeks finally caught up with me, because by Wednesday, I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. I'm still wiped out, and it's Saturday. I went to the grocery store this afternoon because I had to, and Christ, just walking around the store for half an hour drained me.
And then I had to go to my Grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary party. Big thing, can't miss it. So I went for an hour or so, ate some cake, had to listen to my grandpa ask me yet again when I'm going to have children, and then bailed when the noise of preschoolers screaming made my ears ring.
And because I've been napping at odd hours, I'm wide awake.
Just shoot me. Or rec me fic of the H/D or J2 variety.
I'm still way behind with everyone. So much for catching up this weekend. Still have to upload my pics from my Kansas City trip. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. I really hope I feel better tomorrow, because I'm sick of this whole being sick thing.
*coughs up a lung*

Yesterday, which started out with terrible insomnia and therefore exhaustion before I even left for work, ended up with no heat. SO was doing some work on our windows and thus wasn't in a position to notice, but when I got home I went, "It's awfully chilly in here," and sure enough, it was then 60 degrees rather than the 68 it should have been.
So we spent a very chilly night - it was down to maybe 52 by morning - but the repair guy got here this morning sooner than advertised, was able to fix the problem (to the tune of $500), and there is now heat again, thank goodness.
I've spent the day grocery shopping, taking Juno to the dog park with SO, cooking, and cleaning. SO is presently down in his uni town doing a fun run, but will be home in a couple of hours. My mother's first flight was delayed, but it looks like her second flight is also delayed, so she should get here tonight, just not till about 10 pm. I think we'll be eating before she arrives, and then can feed her once she's here.
Tonight is Russian potato soup, chicken & apple sausages, and salad. Tomorrow I'm making beef stew, and SO will have leftover chicken from last week. Monday, gumbo. Tuesday probably buffalo cube steak, not sure for SO. Wednesday probably leftovers. I have a 13-lb. free range turkey starting to defrost in the fridge.
Not sure what we'll do tomorrow... maybe some yard work, as it's supposed to be in the low 60s. I will also have to do some LIS work.

So I decided to take a look at that archive of our own thing. I click on a fandom of choice and see that I can further narrow down my search by things such as warnings, of which there were only two options to pick
[_] Choose not to Warn and [_] None of these Warnings Apply.
So I could pick one and be potentially surprised by content I do not want... or pick the other and be potentially surprised by content too uncommon to warrant its own tag which I still may not want? Meh, I will stick to links in friends' recs.

So the Mr and I have been horrendously broke for the past month. Like, credit cards maxed, bill collectors calling, checking account in the negative broke. We're crawling back out of the hole, though, and while holiday presents are probably not happening for most people, we should have enough money to buy the supplies to make awesome cookies for anyone and everyone we want to spread the love to.
Anyhow, when you're as broke as we've been, you tend to not be able to afford as much food as before, and you have to start getting creative. I mean, there are only so many times I can send the Mr over to his parents house for the random food stuffs they always send him home with. Turns out, we had a lot of food stocked up, just that it required actually putting effort into the preparation. So I learned to love my crock pot, which I've had for easily at least 10 years and had never once used until last month. Now, at least half of our dinners come out of that thing, especially since if I make enough, it's lunch the next day too. With work and class and NaNo eating up my time and energy, it's kind of awesome to spend half an hour chopping and prepping, plug in the crock pot and then walk away. I get the most yummy scrumptious foods, too.
Tonight, the Bro is coming in for a weekend visit, and is bringing his girlfriend, K, with him. So I've got spicy cheesy corn chowder in the crock pot, bubbling away happily. I think I might have added too much dried onion, but it still smells yummy. Also, my fingers are STILL burning from cleaning the seeds out of the chili peppers... does anyone have any suggestions for making this not happen so much?
Anyhow, this is a yummy, SUPER EASY recipe that's actually pretty good for you, so I wanted to share. This is the actual recipe as I remember it, with notations where I free-style.

Title: Mirror Image Artist: Mystery! Giftee: vissy Media/Medium: 3D digital art Rating: NC-17 Pairing: Harry/Snape Warnings: MPREG Disclaimer: All Harry Potter characters herein are the property of J.K. Rowling and Bloomsbury/Scholastic. No copyright infringement is intended. Summary: I took these two discriptions to use in my pic. Hope you enjoy it. "Impregnate Snape and have them embrace before a full-length mirror, their hands tucked beneath Snape's enormous belly. Also, pairing fully-clothed Harry with a naked, vulnerable Snape would be delicious."
